Abstract :

This paper introduces some of the previous research topics related to Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) technologies that taking precedence today’s people search for a reliable broadband access owing to the fact that old broadband like DSL and ISDN are struggling to deliver reliable broadband access to users with the presence of new applications that impacts network efficiency, distance reach, scalability energy consumption and competitive data rates per user. The large-scale adoption of Internet of Things (IOT) has ushered the need for reliable broadband connections for swift and easy deployment of IOT devices. These challenges have led many researchers and industries to examine and vigorously study alternative designs based on passive optical network devices to provide scalable, low cost, long distance reach, energy efficient, and high-speed networks. This work proposes a simulation of the Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) standard of the FTTH in order to deliver reliable connection to 64 subscribers, using Optisystem over a distance of 50 km. Optical amplifiers was introduced to extend the reach of GPON beyond the 20km mark in order to achieve a high performance working system.

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and simulate different kinds of the real time application and non-real time application such as Electronic Mail , web browsing, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and different voice codec. In addition to that the paper also, shows how these applications will generate the signalling protocol messages such as Radio Resource Control (RRC), Node b Application Part (NBAP) and Radio Access Network Application Part (RANAP) during handover in Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) using OPNET Modeler 14.5. After execution of the simulation the result shows that the File Transfer Protocol generate a large amount of signalling messages than Electronic mail and Web browsing and for voice codec the codec G.723 generate large amount of signalling messages than another codec.

Abstract:
WiMAX is a technology that comes up with multiple solutions. It’s defined as Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. It’s based on IEEE 802.16 standard and is a Wireless Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) technology. It’s designed to cover wide geographical areas serving a large number of users at low-cost and provides a wireless alternative to wired backhaul and last-mile deployments. This paper, will study setup of WiMAX using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications to analyse and evaluate the performance of VoIP codecs using OPNET simulation. Relevant metrics is used to analyze the performance of the network and the ability to support VoIP calls. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the performance of VoIP codecs over the fixed WiMAX network to improve the quality of VoIP calls by using VoIP codecs such as (G.711, G.723, G.726, G.728, and G.729) in WiMAX network.

Alarm and Switching Controller for Air Condition Units project aims to controlling the air condition units by arrangement the time of running between two units or more, above that the electronic system can detect three alarm situations (fire, fluid and door), all that features make this project so useful to use in a different applications of Telecommunications and Food Industrial.

Abstract –

This paper presents controlling of water distribution scheme, using the embedded system for performing crop specific irrigation activities using a PID controller that is designed to adjust remote sensors and actuator parameters. In addition, an automated approach is introduced to estimate the variance of the noise of the sensors during the operation. Considering detecting data acquisition context and automatic noise detection, the robustness of monitoring is enhanced against errors related to remote sensor context i.e., high temperature and variation capacity humidity. To achieve the best production of the crop, knowledge of the conditions of air and soil is required; use of smart irrigation reduces overall water consumption and improves Usage of water reserves. Smart usage of irrigation system optimizes land area productivity and conserves nature by control of climate including temperature, humidity and light intensity. There will be data acquisition from the sensors and then it will be compared with the threshold values and based on that decisions will be taken to water the crops by a microcontroller like PIC16F877A based interfacing unit, this microcontroller has been used in this paper to obtain low cost smart irrigation solution. This is a system useful for farms, greenhouses and the home gardening systems.

Abstract –

This paper proposes and implements a solution for enhancing public transportation management services based on GPS and GSM. The microcontroller based in bus module consisting mainly of GPS receiver, GSM modem and, IR Sensor. GPS modem starts transmitting the current location of the bus and IR sensor counting the number of passengers on the bus then send this data to the GSM modem through the microcontroller. The microcontroller used as an interface between GPS receiver and GSM modem, after that the data is sent to a smartphone through short message service, the location of the bus can be viewed on Google Maps. Which it is designed an Android application for smartphones, the users of transportation service can locate their destination on Google Maps, then the application determines the location of the bus closest to them and the number of passengers. The results have shown that this developed system is useful for facilitating people using public transportation services.

Abstract –

Broadband speed has emerged as the single most commonly cited metric for characterizing the quality of broadband offerings. However, speed measurements for the same service can vary significantly. These differences arise from a complex set of factors including different test methodologies and test conditions. For any testing methodology, teasing apart the end-to-end tests and attributing performance bottlenecks to constituent parts is technically challenging. While the broadband access network can be the bottleneck, significant bottlenecks arise in home networks, end users’ computers, and server-side systems and networks. Consequently, inferences regarding how ISP delivered speeds compare with their advertised speeds need to be undertaken with careful attention to the testing methodologies employed. Many testing methodologies are inappropriate for the purposes of assessing the quality of a broadband network.

ABSTRACT

The objectives of this paper is to analyze voice and video over IP over LTE network from previous studies overview to be better than QoS to voice and video over IP over LTE network by using description and mathematics model only. After achieving the methodology use description and a previous study found that the LTE characteristics give high QoS in all parameters of QoS.

ABSTRACT

This paper is to plan and design OPNET simulation model to study and analyze delay in VoIP over WiMAX using IPv4 and IPv6. The model was designed and implemented using OPNET simulation. It was found that IPv4 has better performance than IPv6 concerning mean delay time and jitter, while IPv6 has better performance than IPv4 concerning end-to-end delay time.

ABSTRACT

Tremendous technological advances that have permeated all human sciences and all daily life, especially in the medical field, many assist technologies have been developed in the care of patients in hospitals. This technology has greatly helped to reduce the mortality resulting from the delayed provision of assistance to patients and critical cases; the nurse call system technology was one of the systems that marked a major shift in the organization of medical care in hospitals in general and in emergency and emergency care departments in particular. Which has had a significant impact on the reduction in mortality rates in hospitals and the rescue of critical cases and avoid the causes of delayed follow-up cases and prevent Vitality, which contributed to the ease of monitoring of  the patient’s case in his request for help and immediate response to call as soon as possible, and helped in the process The administrative control for medical staff, especially nurses, by informing them clearly and urgently about the patient’s need for precise technological means. He also actively contributed to providing the best types of health care and minimizing concerns about the lack of interest by the medical staff working and Tranquility patients and their families, given the importance of mainstreaming such a system in hospitals and health centers, we find that the major interest in Sudan does not amount to the extent of its importance and the urgent necessity. This research examines the importance of this system and explains in practical terms how to create and design this system in hospitals. It also provides a comprehensive explanation of the components of the system, its design, its work and how to programming it. The results of this research show the practical application of this system, in Aliaa Specialized hospital, Khartoum state.

ABSTRACT

 In fact, Quality of Services (QoS) is important for any WiMAX or broadband wireless communication, in order to ensure the satisfaction of users. Indeed this paper spots the light on estimating and analyzing two of QoS parameters, which are delay and jitter, where OPNET modular was utilized to create and analyze WiMAX network. In fact, the results show that the delay parameter was increased when mobile node number increased, while jitter levelled off.

ABSTRACT

This paper explains how to determine the link budget design and receiver sensitivity design in term of bit error rate, BER and Q factor for different length and attenuation. The parameters which were taken into consideration of the simulation of the network, type of coding, optical fiber length, attenuation, wavelength, data rate, power detection, type of noise, type of modulator. The objective is achieved by using OPTI SYS and MATLAB the results were obtained in terms of tables and charts.
